Tour Description
The old district of the Marais
Prestigious and historical area of the city, became one of the most fashionable of Paris. Discover medieval houses, magnificent mansions, its antique shops in the village St Paul and Place des Vosges being the oldest square in Paris.
From the 16th century to the present day, the Marais district has always been a place of intrigue and mystery, a place of desire, a place of architectural creation, a vacation spot for the nobility, a place of creativity for artisans, and a refuge for minorities. After several decades of neglect, the Marais regained its noble status in the 1960s thanks to André Malraux, becoming once again the royal district of Paris. The Marais is a neighborhood of imagination and nonconformity, where all communities rub shoulders and creativity and luxury blend seamlessly with a genuine village atmosphere
